All managed to get to Church on time after long lunches in various establishments around the Town, the Regimental Footprint being enthusiastically welcomed by the Public, as over 300 Hackles made their way to St Mary's Church, from all directions. The Public joined us in Church, ensuring the full capacity of over 400 |

I managed to complete yesterday's Marathon
in under five hours-just.Not bad for a sixty three year old! It was
very hard work-the human body is not designed to run 26 miles! Many
runners much younger than myself resorted to walking for periods but
I felt, given that I was displaying the Warwick Antelope, I had to
keep going. Thanks to those who kindly agreed to sponsor me-cheques
can be made payable to the Friends and sent to the museum.Anyone who
wants to donate anything now would be most welcome. All money raised
will go to the Friends/Museum-I don't have to pay any medical expenses!
Post marathon walm downs are very important. You will notice in the
right hand picture that I'm getting ready for a pretty rigorous session!
